PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The proposal “ARCHI-LAND” is the development of innovative IT services through an educational game and app that stimulates the awareness about on the Environment and sustainability in the field of architecture aimed the understanding of energy efficiency applied to buildings. The game and the app will use information and data of energy consumers through the aid of social networks.
The commitments entered in Kyoto Protocol require a radical change addressed to buildings, which are responsible for almost 40% of greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption.
Are not sufficient strategies under the laws in terms of energy efficiency: we need an integrated approach that considers the behavior of the building throughout the year, in different geographical areas and for the entire life cycle and educates the behavior of its users.
The objective of ARCHI-LAND will be to stimulate the reduction of energy consumption, increase energy efficiency and to direct users to the best choice of renewable energy sources.
The developed game will also be accompanied by an APP for smart phones and tablets, which will be based, like the game, on scientific parameters that can guide the user to verify the energy efficiency of buildings and to the rational use of energy. The developed ICT should be deployed and validated in real conditions in public buildings.
