PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Proposal Outline:

The 5G-PHY-MAC  Project will investigate innovative ways and algorithms to implement the Physical and MAC layers of the evolving 5G Standards, the research will focus on critical functionalities ( Building blocks)  that can support:

•Compliance with 5G requirements ( speed, latency and bandwidth) and standards

•Cloud based compatibility
•Virtualized functionality (VNF development)
•Internet of Things application support
•High reliability

•Low power consumption

PARTNER PROFILE SOUGHT
Required skills and expertise of partner(s):

Companies and research bodies that have proven expertise in developing Physical and MAC layers algorithms for advance cloud based mobile networks.

Description of work to be carried out by the partner(s) sought:

The partners will investigate the different approaches for 5G  PHY MAC implementation and jointly develop the PHY and MAC layers building blocks in order to optimize the performance via simulations and POC in terms of computing power, efficiency and power consumption
