As a Local Health Authority (ASL Varese: www.asl.varese.it) of Lombardy Region, we are interested in participating within a European Consortium eligible to submit a research project to the call of H2020:
PHC – 25 – 2015, Advanced ICT Systems and Services for Integrated Care,
namely for the creation of new knowledge for the management of co-morbidities and for addressing poly-pharmacy.

From our side our skills and interests may be resumed as follow:

– The prescription appropriateness in the territory;
– Information and training of physicians and other health professionals;
– The reduction of health care costs;
– Data analysis of the process supplying the prescription medicines by supply chains and flow of payments;
– Reports on pharmacovigilance: pharmacological interactions, overdose, inappropriateness or no adherence of use of medicines, etc.;
– Statistics.

Moreover, our institution, as part of Lombardy Region, directorate-general health, is going to implement a reform of the public health care system to improve the coordination of care services with skills and collaboration of health professionals and the involvement of social carers and informal caregivers.
