PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Proposal Outline:
The proposal has the following objectives:
1) Provide methods and technologies to:
a) automatic identification of terrorist online communities in social media and related community network analysis
b) track the movement of such communities to other platforms in case their community or content is blocked on one platform
c) assist in identifying the real identity of members as well as linking fake identities (pseudonyms)
d) accurate, fast identification and categorization of malicious content published by terrorists and their supporters in multiple languages on the web in general and in social media in particular
e) analyse trends of terrorism based on the content published on social media and web.
2) Analyse legal and ethical issues, privacy and data protection.
3) Piloting of methods developed in national and international Law enforcement Agencies.
