Proposal Outline:
Cardiff University’s School of Computer Science & Informatics is looking for partners specialising in ethics/sociology for his application to FET PROACTIVE.
PARTNER PROFILE SOUGHT
Required skills and Expertise:
We are searching for partners with expertise in ethics/sociology.
The main objective in the ethics area is stated as follows: “We will investigate the threats, risks and ethics of technology that allows humans to augment their social capacity, including the implications of the proposed technologies for subversive or undesirable purposes.”
The ethics we are looking for are really to address the following issues:
— use and mis-use of ICT, social media and technology;
— moral principles that we should incorporate for design and function of ICT for augmentation of human behaviour
— the appropriateness, implications and moral hazard of technology that promotes or extends social relationships
